Fluidsound is the portfolio for composer, sound designer  and researcher Ross Adrian Williams.

A native of Perth, Western Australia, Ross studied piano and trumpet before entering the West Australian Conservatorium of Music to study music composition. He completed his bachelor degree at the University of Western Australia winning the J Hodges Award for outstanding composition student. Ross was then awarded a full academic scholarship, with stipend, to attend the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University where he completed his Masters and Doctorate in music composition, studying with Art Gottschalk and Edward Applebaum.

Ross’ music has been performed throughout Australia, North America and Asia by such ensembles as the West Australia Symphony and Youth Orchestras, the Australian String Quartet and the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra. Active also in electronic music and mixed media he has been commissioned as a sound designer and composer for three productions for The Toy Box Theatre Company based in New York City. More recently has composed and sound designed for film, animation and VR projects.

He is currently the Assistant Professor for Sound Design at the Art, Design and Media School at NTU Singapore. Previously he was a senior lecturer in the Digital Film Department teaching sound design and audio production classes at the Art Institute of New York City.
